Birds of a Feather

In 2011 The Upper Springfield Development Trust commissioned Clare to work with the local Matt Talbot nursery school. They wanted to produce a ceramic mural for a very neglected wall in the area.  The nursery children  made some individual clay pieces, most notably monsters during the workshops. Within this creative time the idea of representing different people of all ages within the area came about. All the different birds in all the different nests was child friendly theme and one they could easily visualise and represent their community through.

We Are The Dream Makers Keep Safe Our Dreams

In 2010 The Upper Springfield Trust commissioned Clare to produce this ceramic mural after a series of workshops on the subject of safety within the community. During the preliminary workshops collaborating with artist Caroline Jeffery the young people made individual dream catchers with their loves, hopes and aspirations for the future. This fed into the final design about the making of dreams and holding them safe for their own futures.
