Biography  

Clare Mc Comish is a visual artist from Belfast; her studio practice concentrates mainly on ceramic and mixed media architectural works for private and public clients.

Alongside her studio practice is an ongoing Artist In Residence post with Artscare, Northern Ireland. Clare graduated from the University of Ulster Faculty of Art and Design, Fine & Applied Art Ceramics, 2000. Since then she has been the recipient of several Individual Artist Awards for research, travel and international residencies from the Arts Council of Northern Ireland. Clare has exhibited her work in Ireland, the UK and the US.

Clare has created public art works for hospitals, parks and a variety of community settings. More recently she was engaged as Integrated Public Arts Consultant for the Northern Ireland Hospice Re-build Project. Previous to this she was project coordinator for Landmarks, Art in Public Programme with Community Arts Partnership.
